Tech Tuesday – March 8: Quick List Menu in axiUm and Using Graphics in Slide Presentations
TechTuesday
A weekly tip from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.
Tip #1 – If you need to quickly access a patient for the foreseeable future, you can double-click their name in Rolodex to add them to the far-right quick list menu. If you leave the box next to their name blank, that name will disappear after you log out. If you check the box, they will remain there indefinitely.

Tip #2 – In your presentation slides, try using graphics that directly connect to the content. In my grad work, I (Brent) was tasked with researching the evolution of presentation platforms, including Powerpoint and Google Sheets. I came across this study (Sung & Mayer 2012) that looked at the difference in types of graphics used in presentations. While any image increased their enjoyment of the presentation, their actual scores were only positively affected by images that directly related to the content being taught.
