Wilder School honors Associate Dean Kathy Bradshaw
Kathy Bradshaw, MLIS, MS, SPHR, SHRM-CP, associate dean for organizational development, has received the 2026 Outstanding Adjunct Award for teaching “Public Human Resources Administration” at the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs.
The Virginia Commonwealth University administration established the Distinguished Faculty Award Program to recognize and honor faculty members who have distinguished themselves in teaching, scholarship, service and overall excellence. Recipients of the Outstanding Adjunct Award demonstrate superior accomplishments in teaching and outstanding student learning outcomes.
As associate dean for organizational development, Bradshaw provides leadership and strategic direction for all aspects of the VCU Libraries’ organizational design and staffing. As an adjunct at the Wilder School, Bradshaw provides in-person instruction on the principles and practices of human resource management and administration for organizations in both private and public sectors. Through her teaching, she helped students understand the human resource function from both employee and employer perspectives.
Before joining VCU in 2015 to lead VCU Libraries Organizational Development Department, Bradshaw served as a human resources librarian at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Along with various professional certifications in the human resources management field, she holds a master’s degree in human resource management from the New School for Social Research.
