Brunch celebrates VCU Libraries donors
On a recent spring morning, donors gathered for a brunch and thank you event highlighting the many ways that private donors’ support helps VCU students and the University community. See photos on Flickr.
This year the Friends of VCU Libraries Scholarship Endowment exceeded $200,000. This ensures that scholarships will be awarded to a Monroe Park campus student and MCV campus student not just this year but for years to come. The Barbara Ford Endowment for Affordable Course Content funded an award to publish Marketing Principles from the River City, a free and open-access textbook used by the School of Business. Private support allowed the StudyWell initiative to help give thousands of students a boost in their academic success through addressing needs of physical, financial, emotional and social health. All of this contributed to the third highest fundraising year in history for VCU Libraries.
Donations make the VCU Libraries a more enriching, comfortable, and better resourced place of support for our students and community.
To all of our donors, we say a hearty THANK YOU!
