Google Meet Adds New Features, Enhances Telecommuting Capabilities
VCU Technology Services is pleased to offer multiple options to students, faculty, and staff for remote work and leisure during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond. To accommodate increased demand for teleworking tools, Google has been upgrading the Meet application with new features, including:
- High-quality video and audio sharing
- Integration with the Google Chrome browser that allows the user to select a tab for screen sharing, and asks permission to continue sharing when switching to a new tab
- New tiled screen layout that allows you to view up to 16 users
All G Suite customers will be able to host meetings of up to 250 participants until September 30th, 2020.
