Idea To Book: See What It Takes
We posted the IBM Lotus Sametime 8 video with Marie Scott recently so if you have not seen it, check it out. That piece was about the Sametime instant messaging service but we were also interested about the process of writing the book. Many people consider writing a book but think it would be an overwhelming process. Today we posted the final segment of our discussion with Marie about the process of writing IBM Lotus Sametime 8 Essentials: A User’s Guide which was published last September. Marie and her co-author, Thomas Duff, wrote the book while separated by a continent. They had to deal with the publisher requirements, who was writing what, collaborating long distance, and what technology would assist with the process.
