Celebrate Topping Off: 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18
Come one, come all to sign the beam 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 18. The occasion is the official “Topping Off” — during which the tallest beam is celebrated and ceremonially lifted into place atop the structure. The ceremony, with short speeches and music, takes place at 2 p.m.
The location is on The Compass at the juncture of Park and Shafer in the middle of campus, the construction site for the new library on the Monroe Park Campus.
If it rains, the beam signing will continue as planned but the outdoor ceremony will not occur.
