Thursday and Friday: Concrete pours in the wee hours
There will be two concrete pours this week to extend the lower level mat slab for the construction of the new library.
On Thursday morning (Sept. 25), starting at 4 a.m. and completing by 10 a.m., roughly 200 yards of concrete mix will be poured on the west side of the “pit.” Linden Street will be closed during this time.
On Friday (Sept. 26), roughly 400 yards of concrete mix will be poured between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. This pour will be “fed” from the Cathedral (east) side of Cabell Library.
