Goodbye Crocodoc, Hello Box!
Blackboard will upgraded and unavailable between Wednesday, Dec 20th at 10:00pm and Thursday, December 21st at 4:00am. As part of this upgrade, Crocodoc, the grading tool currently used to annotate student submissions, will change to BOX.
What’s New?
- BOX accepts more file types, including images, audio and video
- BOX includes a print option that doesn’t exist in Crocodoc
What’s Different?
- Text and drawing tools are no longer included in BOX. Point-based comments and highlighting are the only annotation tools.
- The option to download the annotated PDF no longer exists; annotations must be viewed online
Why the Change?
In 2013, Crocodoc was acquired by Box, Inc. Box announced that Crocodoc would be discontinued as of January 15, 2018, and replaced with their new inline grading option.
