Use Video in Your Course
A new feature in Blackboard is the ability to use video using Kaltura. Kaltura is a cloud-based video management system that is available to VCU faculty, staff and students. This system allows for you to create webcam video recordings, video quizzes or voice-over PowerPoint presentations that can be embedded within a Blackboard course or shared with others.
Ways to use Kaltura
- Students can create a webcam recording introducing themselves to other members of the course or to agree to abide by the VCU Honor Code.
- Students can create a voice over PowerPoint presentation.
- How to create a voice over PowerPoint to embed, share in Blackboard or share via email using Kaltura.
- Create a video quiz for your students for formative assessment.
