Let Blackboard “automagically” drop the lowest grade
If you’ve found yourself working in Excel – or on paper – to drop the lowest of a group of grades (i.e., 1 of 6 quiz grades), this post is for you. It’s easy to let Blackboard do the work:
- Create a category in your gradebook or use an existing one
- Assign that category to only the gradebook items that belong in that group
- Add that category to a total or weighted column
- Set your preferred Weight Columns and Drop Grades values
