The fourth floor–the “silent study” floor–is becoming a construction zone. Shelves are being dismantled. Furniture is being moved. The exhibition display cases near the elevators are being emptied. Workers are coming and going via the service elevator. The Mapp Room for Graduate Study will remain open but noise may become a problem for some students. […]

Shelving will be dismantled and removed from the fourth floor on Wednesday, June 3. Also that day, electrical power to furniture is scheduled to be shut off to prepare for moving the furniture to the third floor.

Patrons will notice continued noise, activity and movement in Cabell Library in coming days and weeks. Beginning the Week of June 2, expect many changes.
