Save the Date: March 18, 2 p.m. for “Topping Off” ceremony
Construction of the new library at Monroe Park Campus will celebrate a milestone on the Compass the afternoon of March 18.
A time-honored tradition in the building trades, a Topping Off or Topping Out ceremony lifts the last and highest-elevation beam to its position in the structure. The occasion is marked with brief speeches, signatures on the beam, music and more.
