Scholarly Communications Librarian Katharine Miller has received a fellowship through the Library Copyright Institute, funded by grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services

The fellowship contributes to the work of The Library Copyright Institute in providing copyright education for library and archive professionals. The fellowship offers a stipend of $5,000 to research and develop new ideas and perspectives for the future of copyright education and training.

Miller’s research project will 1) evaluate existing copyright education programs related to the use and production of creative works, and 2) propose a draft framework for a librarian-focused copyright for creators program that builds on existing copyright education programs. She will also be contributing to a white paper reporting on the program’s results and presenting at a capstone event in March 2025.
