Showing through May, watch on the Cabell Library Ramcam at go.vcu.edu/cabellramcam.

Started in 2014 with its first anthology, Weird, Vol. 1, Emanata is a student-run publication dedicated to providing avenues for comic creators to publish their work. The staff of Emanata works with contributors to amplify their skills through a personal one-on-one editorial process. Through the Student Media Center, they publish an annual anthology in both print and digital format, giving students a taste of the publishing process.

In this year’s publication, Hindshight, editor Erin Joo wrote, ” We’re blessed with the power to look back. Whether it’s impulse buying a horrible t-shirt or making a life changing choice, we walk away with new thoughts and experiences under our belt. It could be a pleasant hum of success or lay-awake-at-3am-regret-everything ever-happened kind of thought, but whatever it may be, it drives us to do what we do. We want to celebrate this collective experience with these stories of realization, regret, and growth as we explore the theme of hindsight.”

Hindsight is free to the VCU community and can be picked up at several Richmond vendors. It can also be viewed on Emanata’s Issuu.
