November 22 – Reminder: Spring 2018 Parking Sales Begin Nov. 29

Spring ’18 parking sales will begin online at 7 am on Wednesday, November 29.  All housing permits (to include off-campus housing permits) and MCV Campus commuter permits will be available for purchase at this time.

The Monroe Park Campus online permit sale will take place at 7 am on Wednesday, December 6.

Prepare ahead of time
In preparation for the online web sales, please make sure you have the following:

  • A valid VCU eID and password. Please visit http://go.vcu.edu/eidfinder if you do not know your eID and password.
  • A debit or credit card to make your online purchase
  • The make, model and license plate of all vehicles you may drive to campus
  • A complete address of where your permit will be mailed
  • No outstanding parking citations. Citations can be paid online at http://www.parking.vcu.edu/parking/citations.
  • Registered for classes. Students who have not registered by the sale dates will not be able to purchase parking at that time.

Accessing the parking portal
You may access the parking portal by visiting www.parking.vcu.edu and clicking on the yellow “Manage my Account” button, located in the top right hand corner.  You should then select the “Get Permits” option from the top drop-down menu. Once logged into the online parking portal, you will be placed into a queue.  Due to the large volume of students accessing the site, please note that you may experience extended wait times.

After your purchase has been completed, a confirmation page will appear that includes a link to print off your temporary permit.  You should receive your RFID hangtag in the mail within seven to ten business days.

A list of available parking locations and permit options can be found at http://www.parking.vcu.edu/parking/students/options-and-rates.

In the event the online parking portal experiences technical difficulties on November 29 or December 6, to ensure every student has a fair opportunity to purchase their preferred location, the portal will be deactivated immediately and parking sales will be relaunched on an alternate date.  An alert will be placed at the top of the portal if this deactivation occurs.  Additionally, notifications will be sent via email as well as posted on the VCU Parking and Transportation Facebook and Twitter channels.

Questions?
If you have any questions or concerns regarding either parking sale, feel free to contact customer service at 828-PARK (7275).
