December 22 – Campus Connector Service Interruptions 12/26 – 12/29

Planned construction at the Monroe Park renovation site will alter the Campus Connector route from Tuesday, December 26 through Friday, December 29th.

The following stops are affected:

Cabell Library: Service will be provided from 7am – 8:30am and again from 4:30pm – 7pm each day. Actual times may be altered.

Main & Laurel: This stop will be closed throughout the week. Passengers are encouraged to proceed to either the Snead Hall or Franklin & Monroe stop for service when access to the Cabell Library stop is unavailable.


December 15 – Update: Sanger Hall RamRide stop closed through Dec. 18

Two separate utilities projects on 11th Street between Broad and E. Marshall Streets will impact RamRide routes on Monday, December 18.  As a result, the Sanger Hall stop will remain closed through Monday, December 18.  This stop will reopen on Tuesday, December 19.

During this closure, passengers should continue to utilize the following alternate stops:

Campus Connector Passengers:

The Campus Connector will bypass the Sanger Hall stop and drop-off/pick-up passengers at the McGuire Hall bus stop.

A, M, and R Lot Passengers:

Passengers will be diverted past Sanger Hall to a temporary stop on E. Clay Street, located directly across from the Valentine History Museum (towards 11th Street).  Travel routes returning to the parking lots may be altered, but all other stops will be serviced.

I Lot Passengers:

The I Lot route will not be impacted; however, passengers may experience extended commute times, particularly around the McGuire Hall bus stop.

December 13 – Customer Service Offices will Temporarily Close on Dec. 15

Our Monroe Park Campus and MCV Campus customer service offices will temporarily close from 12 pm to 2 pm on Friday, December 15.

Please note, our call center will continue to service calls as normal.  In the event you have any parking or transportation related concerns or questions during this time, feel free to contact us at 828-PARK (7275).


December 12 – Paving in RR Lot alley, Dec. 14-15

The city will be paving parts of the the alley located directly in front of the RR Lot on Thursday, December 14 and Friday, December 15.  During this project, you will still be able to enter and exit the RR Lot using one of the two entry lanes.

We ask that you are mindful of the paving crew when accessing this facility.

December 11 – Upcoming Utilities Project will Impact RamRide Dec. 13-18

A major utilities project taking place on 11th Street between Broad and E. Marshall Streets will impact RamRide routes from Wednesday, December 13 to Monday, December 18.  RamRide passengers may experience delays while this project takes place.

Due to impacts to road accessibility, the Sanger Hall stop will close at 12 am on Wednesday, December 13 and re-open at 4 am on Monday, December 18 Alternate stops will be used for Campus Connector and A Lot, M Lot and R Lot passengers in the interim.

December 8 – Upcoming WBSD Lane Closures

The rolling safety gates at the entrances of the West Broad Street Deck will undergo repair to restore their functionality.  To perform these repairs, crews will close one lane per day, during the hours of 7 am to 5:30 pm, beginning on Monday, December 11.
 
You will still be able to enter/exit the deck from Shafer St. and Harrison St. on each day, with the exception of Monday, December 18 On December 18, crews will need to close both Harrison St. entry lanes from 7 am to 5:30 pm.  During these times, you will only be able to enter the deck from the Shafer St. side; however, you may still exit on either side.

December 4 – Extended reciprocal parking during exam period

Final examinations for the fall semester are quickly approaching!

We want to ensure that you have a successful exam period and are able to take full advantage of VCU’s libraries without having to worry about parking.

Keeping this in mind, we will be adjusting all student commuter parking permits (including evening permits) to allow for extended reciprocal parking on the Monroe Park Campus during the following days/times:

Your VCUCard and/or hangtag permit will grant you access into the eligible facility during the designated days/times.
