Kanopy: A VCU Libraries Resource for adding video content to your courses
Kanopy is a video streaming service, offered through VCU Libraries, that provides easy access to more than 26,000 titles on a number of subjects.
A recent search on the following broad topics produced the following results:
- Child Health: 121 videos
- Mental Health: 443 videos
- Nursing: 534 videos
- Everyday health: 714 videos
A more refined search on Patient Safety produced 13, and another on Breast Cancer, 90. These results included documentaries, feature films, shorts and more. New videos are added regularly.
Instructors can create new playlists and easily edit videos to include only those sections that are relevant. Entire videos or edited clips can be embedded in Blackboard for seamless viewing.
