There has been a lot of information posted about the educational value of using rubrics on many teaching websites.  Additionally, the Association of American Colleges and Universities came together to develop 16 rubrics for undergraduate education.  These rubrics are called VALUE (Valid Assessment of Learning in Undergraduate Education) rubrics and are available to use in your Blackboard courses.  If you are interested in using any of the VALUE rubrics, contact School of Nursing IT so that we can help you incorporate them.

Lastly, there is a great website that shows how to avoid scoring errors when using rubrics.  Roobrix.com shows how to convert an 18/20 on a rubric to a proper percentage.  The website author gives a great example of scoring errors when using rubrics that his website tool will help you avoid.
