A best practice when deploying a test on Blackboard is to limit the amount of feedback that individual students can see until after the entire class has completed the assessment. Blackboard’s Test Results and Feedback Options allow instructors to create up to two automated rules that determine what information students receive about their performance on an assessment, and when they are able to view it. The variety of choices can be confusing, however.  Click here for an overview of this feature and visual examples of how the choices you make appear to students.

The use of well designed assessments that measure learning objectives and include feedback helps meet the criteria for Quality Matters Standard 3: Assessment and Measurement.
