When used intentionally, technology becomes a creative partner in teaching and learning. It opens new ways of presenting ideas, engaging students, and extending learning beyond the walls of a classroom.
Expanding What Teaching Can Look Like
For faculty, technology can expand how teaching looks and feels. It allows instructors to experiment with multimedia, design learning activities that extend beyond scheduled class time, and create flexible pathways for students with different needs and circumstances.
A lecture doesn’t have to be confined to a single moment. Discussion doesn’t have to end when class is over. Learning doesn’t have to look the same for every student.
For example, a recorded lecture paired with interactive discussion boards can allow students to engage with content at their own pace while still participating in meaningful dialogue.
