The Queer Arts Collective presents their second annual pride show, “Queer in Act”

The Cabell Screen will display 30 selected works during the spring semester.
The Queer Arts Collective (QuAC) has partnered with The Anderson to present their second annual Queer in Act art show. Last year’s inaugural show was displayed in the Murry N. DePillars Building lobby.
QuAC’s mission is to provide VCU’s LGBTQ+ and allied art students with a safe space to build community and connect with other LGBTQ+ students. They also strive to connect students with resources and opportunities to further their art practices and explore their identity.
Queerness as an act allows for the freedom to exist outside of the realm of “normalcy,” and Queer in Act highlights that freedom of loving and living through the experiences of over 40 VCU students, faculty, and alumni. Works in the exhibit include paintings, short films, sculptures, zines, and more.
An opening reception will be held at The Anderson on Feb. 7 from 5 – 7 p.m. in Gallery D and E. The exhibit will be on view until March 1, 2025.
