VCU Procurement Services

Fostering a community of financial advocacy at VCU!

If you intend to travel to a destination with a level 3 or level 4 U.S. Department of State travel advisory, you must file a petition to the International Travel Advisory Committee (ITAC).  More information on the ITAC and the petition process, as well as FAQs, can be found on the ITAC website. Please monitor the U.S. Department of State travel advisories up to the time of return, as levels can change.

The U.S. Department of State currently advises U.S. citizens worldwide caution. VCU strongly encourages its travelers to enroll with the U.S. Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).

If you already have travel booked, please keep in mind that even if your final destination is not in an affected area, your flights could still be impacted.

  • Monitor airline mobile apps for the most up to date information on flight status and cancellations
  • Allow additional time at airports and remain flexible with travel plans where possible
  • Ensure contact information is current in travelers’ reservations so they can be reached quickly if needed
  • Contact full-service agents if rebooking or additional assistance is required

Please be aware of VCU Employee Emergency assistance services — evacuation and travel assistance coverage. Information can be found under the insurance tab on the International Travel Page.
