🎉 Celebrating Excellence: G&C Team Members Honored at Research Administrator’s Day
The VCU Grants & Contracts (G&C) team is proud to announce that three of its staff were honored at this year’s Research Administrator’s Day. The annual event celebrates the contributions of research administrators who support VCU’s research enterprise.
This year’s award recipients from G&C include:
- Cathy Short – Collaborator of the Year 2025
Recognized for her exceptional teamwork and collaborative efforts across departments, Cathy has played a key role in advancing VCU’s research mission. - Michaela Murray – Rookie of the Year 2025
Michaela’s initiative, energy, and attention to detail have made a significant impact early in her career, demonstrating the qualities of a rising leader in research administration. - Delois Alexander – Behind the Scenes Award 2025
Honored for her dedication and steadfast support of complex processes, Delois ensures that essential operations run smoothly, making a meaningful difference behind the scenes.
