Discontinuation of VCU Medical Evening Route 89

The VCU Medical Center Evening Route 89 will discontinue operations on Thursday, June 30. For those currently utilizing this bus service and looking for another option, the VCU Security Escort Service provides a safe method of traveling around the MCV Campus in the evening.

Daily Parking available in the JL Lot, 200 W. Cary Street

GRTC Rate Increase March 14th – Routes 81, 82, and 95

Beginning March 14, GRTC will increase the fares for the 81 Chesterfield Lowes Express, the 82 Winterpock Express and the 95 Petersburg Express routes. The new fare will be $3.00. This increase will not affect students with a Student Transit Pass, however, it will affect others who use these GRTC routes.

GRTC Bus Fare Increases

GRTC Transit System will be permanently raising bus fares as of September 19, 2010. The rates will increase to the following amounts: Local routes $1.50 Express routes $2.00 Extended Express $2.75 Ashland $3.25 Mechanicsville $3.25 Fredericksburg $6.25 Transfers $ 0.25 If you have questions about these rate increases, contact GRTC customer service at 358-4782.
