MLK Holiday Parking and RamRide Service Changes
In observance of VCU’s closing for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, standard RamRide service will be unavailable on Monday, January 15; however, a limited service route will be deployed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Impacted subscribers should relocate to the following alternate parking locations:
Alternate parking arrangements
- O Lot subscribers should park in Eighth St. Deck. (Note: This is a change from previous periods).
- A Lot (Oliver Hill) subscribers may park in Eighth St. Deck or continue to park in A Lot (RamRide will not be provided from A Lot).
- A Lot at Main St. Station subscribers may utilize N Deck or continue to park in Main St. Station (RamRide will not be provided from A Lot).
- I Deck subscribers should park in Eighth St. Deck.
Your hangtag permit and/or VCU ID card will allow you access to your alternate deck during these times. If you encounter issues entering or exiting the deck, please press the “i” button for assistance.
Limited RamRide route
A limited RamRide route will be in service on January 15. Two buses will run on a continuous loop to/from Eighth St. Deck, Sanger Hall, and 11th and Clay streets from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
As a reminder, RamRide has moved to the Ride Pingo app, available for download on VCU Mobile and Google Play/Apple app stores. You can track RamRide buses in real time using this platform.
Standard RamRide service will resume on Tuesday, January 16.
