VCU Parking and Transportation

News & information

On Monday, November 7, a widespread system issue with Banner was identified, preventing the successful implementation of the MCV Campus parking lottery. Multiple departments were also impacted by this widespread issue.

We have recently been informed that Banner has resolved the issue. We will restart the MCV Campus lottery process on Tuesday, Nov. 29. In the meantime, all lottery preferences will be reset to ensure an equitable MCV Campus sales process for everyone. If you previously submitted your spring parking preferences via email or the online parking portal, you will need to resubmit them online during the new sales period.

MCV Campus parking sale

  • Beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, all students interested in purchasing an MCV Campus commuter permit will be able to log in to apps.parking.vcu.edu/mcvwebsales to select their parking preferences. The lottery will close at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1.
  • If your name is randomly selected, you will receive an email notification on Monday, Dec. 5, with your award and a link to purchase your permit online on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 9 a.m.
  • Recipients have until Friday, Dec. 9, at 4:30 p.m. to accept and purchase their awarded permit before forfeiture.

Any unclaimed permits from the lottery will be sold online on a first-come, first-served basis at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12. You can find additional information regarding this process at parking.vcu.edu/parking/students/mcv-campus-sale/.

The Monroe Park Campus sale will continue as scheduled at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30.

We apologize for any inconvenience this system disruption has caused, and thank you for your continued patience as we work to ensure a successful sales process. For questions or concerns regarding parking sales, please contact us at parking@vcu.edu.

Sincerely,

Josh Stone, CAPP

Director
