VCU Parking and Transportation

News & information

Over the past few months, we have worked in collaboration with the MCV Campus Assistant and Associate Dean’s Council to improve the student parking sales experience. While student feedback served as the primary driving force for these changes, strong demand and limited availability for parking on the MCV Campus were also considered.

We are pleased to announce that we will launch a new process for spring 2020 MCV Campus parking sales that offers greater flexibility, reliability and opportunity for students interested in securing parking on the MCV Campus. The new sales process will resemble a lottery system and go into effect for spring 2020 MCV Campus commuter parking permits only, beginning on October 30.

Here’s how the new MCV Campus sale will work:

  • Beginning at midnight on October 30 through November 1 at 11:59 p.m., all students interested in purchasing an MCV Campus commuter permit can log in to https://apps.parking.vcu.edu/mcvwebsales/ to select their top parking preferences.
  • The system will automatically assign a number to all applicants. In the event your number is selected via a random generator, you will receive an email notification on November 11 with your award and link to purchase your permit online.
  • You will have 48 hours to accept and purchase your awarded permit before forfeiture.

* Entering the permit lottery does not guarantee participants a parking permit.
