6/1/16 – Q Lot Re-Striping

In efforts to create a safer passageway for RamRide buses as well as passengers, a painting crew will be onsite to re-stripe the two parking spaces adjacent to the Larrick Center stop on Friday, June 3.

The affected Q Lot spaces will be partitioned and closed to parking, and the Larrick Center stop will be not be serviced during this time.  Subscribers should be mindful of the painting crew while accessing this facility.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact customer service at 828-PARK (7275).


6/1/16 – WCSD Re-Striping

Beginning on Friday, June 3, crews will be onsite to re-stripe the parking spaces currently utilized by RamSafe.  During the re-striping, the northeast corner of Level 1 will be closed to parking beginning at midnight on Thursday, June 2.  Please avoid parking in this location during this time.

The northeast corner is expected to reopen on Monday, June 6.


6/1/16 – Larrick Center RamRide Stop Closed June 3

The Larrick stop will be closed this Friday, June 3. Passengers riding the Campus Connector should proceed to either McGuire Hall or the Coliseum Deck stop. Passengers riding the I lot shuttle should proceed to either McGuire Hall, Coliseum Deck or the J. Sargeant Reynolds stop.


6/15/16 – Parking Offices Closed June 21-22

Both parking customer service offices (1108-A West Broad Street and 659 N. 8th Street) will be closed on Tuesday, June 21 and Wednesday, June 22 for staff training.  If you need immediate parking assistance during this time, please contact the Enforcement Supervisor on duty at 804-971-0450 or call 804-828-PARK (7275).

Our offices will reopen as normal on Thursday, June 23.


6/17/16 – Possible Delays Due to Floodwall Testing

Floodwall testing will take place near the Mayo Bridge through Monday, June 27.  M/R Lot RamRide passengers may experience brief residual delays as a result of this upcoming testing.
Please account for possible delays in your daily commute.  As always, you can track the status of RamRide in real time at vcu.transloc.com or by downloading the VCU Mobile “RAMRIDE” app.


 6/20/16 – I Lot Parking 6/24-7/31

The Jehovah’s Witnesses Annual Convention is taking place at the Richmond Coliseum again this year and will be utilizing the I Lot on designated days, beginning at 7 am.
All I Lot subscribers will be granted access to the Eighth Street Deck on the following dates and are encouraged to park here during this time.

  • Friday, June 24 – Sunday, June 26, 2016
  • Friday, July 1 – Sunday, July 3, 2016
  • Friday, July 8 – Sunday, July 10, 2016
  • Friday, July 22 – Sunday, July 24, 2016
  • Friday, July 29 – Sunday, July 31, 2016

Please note, subscribers should not pull a ticket for entry into this facility.  Your RFID permit and/or VCUCard will grant you access into the deck.  In the event you encounter any ingress/egress issues, please press the “i” button located on the entrance/exit lane verifiers for immediate assistance.


 6/28/16 – Broad & Belvidere Pedestrian Door

We have received reports that the pedestrian door to the Broad & Belvidere Street Deck continues to be propped open with various items.  This not only impacts the door’s access control system, but creates a safety hazard as well.

In the event you witness an individual propping the pedestrian door open, we ask that you please notify VCU Parking & Transportation immediately at 828-PARK (7275).  Should your VCUCard not grant you access to the pedestrian door, please contact customer service at 828-PARK.
