The article: State of Mind in the College Classroom by Stacy Roth in this week’s issue of Faculty Focus is really interesting.  The article describes the mental health crisis on  college campuses and specific strategies that teachers can take in the classroom to help students get the help they need.

From the article:

According to research conducted by the National Alliance on Mental Illness: one in four college students have a diagnosable illness, 40 percent do not seek help, 80 percent feel overwhelmed by their responsibilities, and 50 percent have become so anxiou that they struggle in school.
