Welcome to the newest Friends of the Library Board members, Michelle Evans-Oliver and Carol Stanfield! Friends Board terms are three years, with the possibility of renewing terms for an additional three years. Friends Board members help guide the work of VCU Libraries in various ways, helping with programming, fundraising, and outreach. Michelle and Carol bring to the Board many years of experience and a passion for community support.

Michelle is President/Financial Advisor of The Oliver Financial Group and is the founder of the Richmond Branch and current President of The Association for the Study of African American Life and History.

Carol is a VCU alumnae (B.S./H&S ’92) and works as Director of Project Management for BBB National Programs. She has already been involved with the VCU Libraries through volunteering with the annual Friends of the Library Book Sale and participating in the FOL Book Club.
