The inaugural meeting of the the Friends of VCU Libraries Book Club will take place Sunday September 15 at 2 p.m. at VCU’s James Branch Cabell Library in the Cabell Room on the fourth floor. Shawn Utsey, Ph.D., professor of psychology and interim chair, African American Studies, will lead the informal, conversational discussion. The Emancipation of Evan Walls was released in June and was written by Jeffrey Blount (BS ’81/H&S). Blount will discuss his book on the evening of Wednesday September 18th at 7PM at the Cabell Library.
