UPDATE: Emergency Blackboard DataCenter Maintenance – Service Interruption Possible
The previously scheduled emergency maintenance for Saturday, June 6th midnight-noon, has been rescheduled. Blackboard Managed Hosting re-evaluated the preparation time required, and in an effort to minimize the possibility of service interruption, has moved the maintenance window to today, Saturday, June 6th, from 8:00pm until 8:00am on Sunday, June 7th.
They do not anticipate that there will be any interruption in service, but are keeping us updated on the maintenance plans in the event that unforeseen issues arise during the maintenance window that could result in brief periods of service interruption.

On Saturday, June 6th, 2015, between the hours of 12:01am to 12:00pm EDT, the Managed Hosting Infrastructure Team will be performing emergency maintenance.
During this maintenance window, there is the potential for service interruptions to occur, affecting the VCU Blackboard system.
Due to the nature of the work being performed, Blackboard Managed Hosting has taken additional measures for redundancy in power to avoid any interruption. However, in the event of any unforeseen issues during the maintenance window, brief periods of service interruption cannot be entirely ruled out. Blackboard has apologized for not providing adequate advance notification for this maintenance, and will make all efforts to keep any impact to a minimum.
