Error occurs when sending Blackboard email – RESOLVED
UPDATE: The Blackboard email issue has now been resolved.
The Learning Systems and Collaboration Services teams are continuing to work with Blackboard technical support to resolve the email issue. Our goal is to have it resolved by Monday, March 23rd or sooner.

Faculty are experiencing errors when sending emails from within Blackboard. This problem was first reported on Friday, March 13, 2015.
Sending email from within Blackboard results in the following error:
“An error or warning occurred while sending this email. Some or all recipients may not receive the message.”
This occurs when sending mail from Course Tools or from Announcements. Sending email to a small number of students is currently working. The error appears when sending to the entire class or a large number of students in the class.
After working with Blackboard Engineers, we have determined that the issue is related to the routing of email. Staff from various areas within VCU Technology Services are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Additional information will be posted in this blog as they become available.
