Blackboard Mobile Learn Issues
Blackboard completed the changes at their Data Center last night (8/25/11) at 11:45pm. If you experience issues with login to Blackboard Mobile Learn, please contact the Technology Services Help Desk at 828-2227, or email blackboard@vcu.edu.

UPDATE: We received the following update today (8/25) from Blackboard about the Mobile Learn issues:
“During Wednesday night’s maintenance window, we confirmed the infrastructure of the new data center was sound. We also identified additional configurations that we will be including for this migration in the interest of long term stability. In light of these new changes, we have postponed the migration in order to perform a review of those changes.
We will continue traffic through our existing data center while we complete the tuning and optimization of the new data center.
The maintenance window for this migration is scheduled to begin Thursday (8/25/2011) at 11:00pm and end Friday (8/26/2011) at 5:00am. Users may experience login issues during this window.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”

UPDATE:
Blackboard Data Center changes previously planned for Sept. 2nd, will take place tonight (8/24/11) at 9:00pm. These changes should increase capacity and mitigate the performance issues resulting from the back-to-school traffic.

Blackboard Mobile Learn is experiencing performance issues, due to networking problems at Blackboard’s Data Center. They are troubleshooting and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
This performance issue is most noticeably seen when searching for a school (prior to login). If you have previously logged in to Blackboard Mobile Learn, you may not experience any issues (on the same device), since our Mobile Learn URL is automatically cached within the application.
A follow-up notice will be posted with status and additional details as soon as we know anything more.
