VoiceThread and Storytelling – April 16 at 1:00pm ET – Register
Most cognitive scientists agree that storytelling is a great way to help your message stick in the minds of an audience. Our minds are fine-tuned to remember information shared within a narrative structure, not a broadcast lecture. In this workshop, participants will learn how to use VoiceThread to create engaging stories with their students.

Learn how Dr. Beth Hammond uses VoiceThread in her courses at University of South Carolina Beaufort.
Dr. Hammond is an Associate Professor and the Assessment and Early Childhood Education Coordinator at the University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB). Prior to her time at USCB, she taught for more than 25 years in PK-12 schools in multiple states and at Florida State University for two years as a graduate instructor.
New VoiceThread: simpler, more accessible, and more powerful – April 30 at 1:00pm ET – Register
In this session, participants will see a full tour of the new VoiceThread interface. We will review the changes to the media player, including jump commenting, bulk actions, and the “one conversation” setting. We will also see the improved VoiceThread homepage and learn how to access assignments.

Learn how Dr. Rebecca Herrero Sáenz and Laurie Hallick from Molloy University design and deliver online course content with VoiceThread.
Dr. Rebeca Herrero Sáenz is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Molloy University. Born and raised in Madrid (Spain), she holds a licenciatura (BA) in Sociology from Complutense University of Madrid. She also holds an MA in Media, Culture and Communication from New York University, and a PhD in Sociology from the University at Albany (SUNY).
Laurie Hallick is an instructional designer at Molloy University in Rockville Centre, NY, where she collaborates with faculty members to develop high-quality online courses. Laurie assists faculty in creating engaging learning experiences for students, ensuring that the online courses offered by the university are not only informative but also structured to promote student success.
