ITCC Special Interest Group Meetings 2020
The IT Career Community (ITCC) is proud to announce the kick-off of Special Interest Groups (SIGs). These SIGs have been formed to:
- Provide networking opportunities with other IT professionals in special areas of interest to connect IT professionals across the University.
- Provide a forum to exchange technical knowledge and ideas and best practices to promote career development and enhance technical knowledge in different areas of IT.
- Provide an opportunity for all ITCC members to join whichever Special Interest Groups they are interested in learning more about and connect with others in specialized IT fields.
- Help SIG Co-chairs gain and develop valuable leadership skills through the facilitation of special interest groups.
Each SIG group is chaired by two ITCC members and a representative from the ITCC leadership team. For the first year, these SIGs plan on meeting 4 times via Zoom between now and June. This month, Google calendar invites for the first SIG meetings will be sent out to the community immediately following this email distribution. These groups are all open to any IT Professional at VCU to join, and ITCC members are encouraged to join multiple SIGs to further their knowledge and networking impact.
