COVID-19 might be responsible for the cancellation of Reunion Weekend 2020, but it won’t cut the ties that have bound the thousands of friends and classmates whose paths first crossed on the MCV Campus.

Leigh Anne Hylton Gravatt, Pharm.D., BCPS (Pharm.D.'03/P), associate professor and vice chair of education in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science in the VCU School of Pharmacy, joined us on Facebook Live March 24 to answer questions from alumni about COVID-19, infectious disease and social distancing.

Kathryn Schwienteck Hartka, Pharm.D., Ph.D. (Pharm.D.’15/P; Ph.D.’19/M), first became passionate about learning how drugs affect the human brain studying neuroscience as an undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.

Tony (B.S.’79/H&S; B.S.’82/P) and Corrine (B.S.’80/H&S) Rowlette recall their meeting vividly, though they didn’t say a word to each other at the time. From there, their relationship grew beyond first impressions. The couple became deeply involved in helping to build the African-American Alumni Council, and Tony went on to become the third president.
