What tools helped you the most when you started out?
The most helpful tools when I started out were the advice and guidance of other amazing BIPOC and women business owners. Networking with experts in areas like SEO allowed me to gain insights I lacked and their shared experiences gave me the knowledge and confidence to build my business.
What was the biggest challenge to maintaining your business?
The biggest challenge was balancing a full-time job while starting my business which required careful time management and focus. Over time, I was able to build a strong supportive team which allowed me to delegate responsibilities and grow the business more effectively.
What advice do you have for people considering starting a business?
My advice for anyone considering starting a business is to begin with a clear understanding of your target customer — know who they are, what they need and how you can provide value. Additionally, don’t underestimate the power of networking. Connect with people who are already succeeding in the space you’re hoping to enter, their insights and experiences can be invaluable as you navigate your journey.
