Family Weekend 2019 Recap
Thank you all so much for joining us for Family Weekend! We had a wonderful time seeing your smiling faces on and around campus with your students. Check out a snapshot of a few of our events below:
Richmond Bike Tours
Families and their students biked through campus and around the museum district together Saturday morning. Sights included the Compass (where the library and Shafer Court Dining Center are located) and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA).
Division of Student Affairs BBQ
What could be better than food, games and performances by The Peppas? Families had the opportunity to meet the new VCU Family Council and take pictures with Rodney the Ram, all while chatting with representatives from the Division of Student Affairs departments and services.
Paint & Play
Wine & Design RVA set up two workshops for families and students to test out their art skills with bright autumn paintings.
.5K and 5K Races
Participants in the .5K walk/run took a trip around Monroe Park and finished the event out with coffee, doughnuts and finisher medals. 5K racers journeyed through campus and the city of Richmond, starting with a brisk warm-up through the park!
