Report Process Issues

  • All questions related to process of using Portfolio can be submitted to somportfoliohelp@vcuhealth.org
    Example questions related to process issues:
    • How do I attach my activity report to my evaluation?
    • What is the difference between work distribution and effort as it relates to my evaluation?
    • I am going up for promotion this year and was informed that I could use a template for my CV, where is this?
  • A SOM Office of Faculty Affairs team member will make initial contact acknowledging the issue within one business day.

Report Technical Issues

  • If Portfolio is displaying errors or you are experiencing technical issues, please submit a ticket in Cherwell to Application Services; select “Portfolio” in the System Name dropdown list and describe your problem.

  • Example questions related to technical issues:
    • When I attach my activity report, I receive an upload error. How do I resolve this?
    • My research activity type is missing from the drop-down, how do I add this?
  • A SOMTech Application Services team member will make initial contact acknowledging the issue within one business day.
  • As a reminder, prior to the Portfolio Phase 1 launch in early July 2022, faculty data was migrated to the new system from several other systems (such as FARES, ePortfolio, eCurriculum, RAMS SPOT, etc.). The reason not all data was able to be imported as part of the one-time migration is due to data structure differences and availability of data between the legacy systems. Please review the One Time Data Migration Overview guide which outlines the data that was successfully migrated into Portfolio.
