Favorite thing about Newport News: The community, good restaurants

Goals after residency: Become a hospitalist, transition to Direct Primary Care. Try to own a restaurant. Become a DJ prescribing doses of bass.

Hobbies: cooking, video games, watching sports, petting dogs

Favorite thing about residency: I love my fellow interns – they make the place very special! Also, the foosball table in the residents’ lounge is the coolest hangout spot and is a great place for a little friendly competition.

Favorite thing about Newport News: I commute across the bridge, but I found a great gym to get huge and some good sushi spots on this side of town.

Goals after residency: I would love to practice in Virginia, wife is in the Navy, and of course I will follow her to the end of the world (I believe she can read this)! Looking forward to saving lives and starting a family.

Hobbies: Going to the beach, surfing, wakeboard, trying good food and going on walks with the wife and our bernedoodle!

Favorite thing about residency: The people here are supportive!! It is a great learning environment and the people make the stressful experience a fun one!

Goals after residency: To become a part of a practice and work in a clinic either back home in Northern Virginia or maybe hand around Newport News

Favorite thing about residency: My fellow residents and interns. Also love how kind, supportive, and fun all the attending and staff are. It is exciting to finally start walking the walk of working in medicine as a physician.

Favorite thing about Newport News: It is just outside my hometown so I can commute from home. Farmer Market at Oyster Point is really cool.

Goals after residency: Own my own private practice in Norfolk.

Hobbies: ping pong, fantasy football, hiking, beach days, working out

Favorite thing about residency: The people. Always having someone there for a sounding board, to give great advice, or just to hang out with. We have a fantastic and supportive program that I feel lucky to be a part of every day.

Favorite thing about Newport News: The variety of settings available. Whether you are looking for a beach, park, or city scene, Newport News has it all!

Goals after residency: Establishing a successful practice where I can see a variety of patients in all stages of life. I would also like to incorporate OMT into my daily practice

Hobbies: softball, swimming, board games/card games, jet skiing, watching DC sports (Go Caps, Nats & WFT!), Reading
