Today, we honor veterans for their dedication and service to our nation.

Virginia Commonwealth University is proudly investing in the success of our student service members. For example, VCU Military Student Services, with an office in Harris Hall, exists to ease the transition from military to academic life — offering assistance to veterans, active service members, spouses and dependents on issues ranging from managing deployment to scheduling courses.

Now, we are working to connect these resources with even more programs at the university, including the academic departments throughout VCU, the Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute, continuing professional education, online learning and more.

Last December, VCU and the Army Logistics University, Combined Arms Support Command, at Fort Lee finalized an agreement to develop a new Master of Supply Chain Management program emphasizing innovation, critical thinking and logistics management. This program will soon begin to have a dramatic effect on our commonwealth and will serve to elevate both VCU and Fort Lee as internationally recognized leaders in education and research around logistics.

At VCU, we are thankful for our veterans and active service members. Their sacrifices allow us to do what we do. Their experiences enrich the learning environment and enhance our diversity — an important part of the fabric of our university.
