Summer Research Fellows to present in July
Research and pizza: always a good combo! VCU School of Pharmacy launches its annual Summer Research Pizza Lunch series July 5 with a meet-and-greet social.
In the meantime, students and their advisors are getting down to business. The school’s Summer Research Fellowships make it possible for rising second- and third-year Pharm.D. students (and, occasionally, students from other schools) to experience hands-on research while being mentored by faculty volunteers. Students selected to participate receive a stipend and are asked to present their findings during the summer. Fellowships are supported by the School of Pharmacy’s Dean’s Office.
The 2016 schedule is as follows. All lunches are set for noon-1 p.m. in Smith, Room 129. Student presentations take about 20 minutes.
