Introducing: Online Permit Renewals!
Renewing your monthly/quarterly parking permit online:
In efforts to simplify the renewal payment process, we have created an online payment option for monthly and quarterly parking subscribers. You can now conveniently renew your parking payments online directly through your parking portal.
While we’ll still continue to accept payments in person and via mail, this new payment option will provide you with more convenience and greater control over your parking renewal options.
Who is eligible to renew online?
As long as you have an active pre-paid employee parking subscription, you may renew your permit online. If your permit has already expired, you will not be able to renew online. Please note, subscribers with expired permits risk placement into an alternate facility.
How can I take advantage of the service?
The online renewal process is simple. To renew your permit online, follow these steps:
- First, log on to your parking portal from parking.vcu.edu by clicking on the gold “Manage my Account” button in the top right corner.
- Select “Get Permits.” Your renewal option(s)/term(s) will populate at the top of this page.
- Once your renewal option/timeframe has been selected, click “Purchase a permit.”
- Click “Next,” review your purchase and new permit expiration date. Your email will populate below.
- Click “Pay Now,” then “Next,” and you will be forwarded to the payment page. Make sure you do not navigate away from this page if you would like to complete your transaction. If you would like to cancel at this time, click “Cancel this payment transaction,” and begin the process again.
- After entering your payment information, click “Continue.” You will receive your receipt, which will also be emailed.
- Congratulations! Your permit is renewed.
Will I receive a reminder to renew?
Yes! As part of this new payment system, all subscribers, regardless if you renew online or using other payment methods, will receive automated payment reminders to alert you when it is time to renew your permit.
Can I renew for a different facility?
Not at this time. Online renewals can only be made for your existing parking facility. If you are interested in reviewing alternate parking options, feel free to contact us at parking@vcu.edu or 828-PARK for available options.
