Multiple streets around MPC closed starting May 11
From Thursday, May 11, through Tuesday, May 16, multiple streets around the Monroe Park Campus (between Belvidere St. and Harrison St.) will be closed as the City installs speed tables.
While installing the speed tables, the contractor will close one street at a time, starting with West Main Street and ending with West Franklin Street.
Work will take place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and is weather dependent.
The street closures directly impacting the Monroe Park Campus will include the following:
Thursday, May 11 – W. Main St.
- Between Madison & Monroe
- Between Pine & Laurel
- Between Cherry & Laurel
Friday, May 12 – W. Cary St
- Between Brunswick & Morris
- Between Harrison & Linden
- Between Cherry & Laurel
- Cary St. between Belvidere & Madison
UPDATED- Thursday, May 18 – W. Grace St.
- Between Laurel & Shafer
- Between Shafer & Harrison
- Between Harrison & Ryland
On May 18, access to Laurel St. Deck, BB Lot, and HH Lot will be unavailable. Impacted subscribers will have access to park in any Monroe Park Campus parking deck during this time. A Monroe Park Campus parking facility map can be found at https://parking.vcu.edu/parking/facility-maps/.
Your VCU ID card and/or hangtag permit will grant you access to an alternate deck on Monday. If you have issues entering or exiting a facility, please press the “i” button on the entry/exit lane readers for assistance.
