VCU Parking and Transportation

News & information

High school graduations will return to the Stuart C. Siegel Center this year, from May 23-25 and June 10-16. During these special events, thousands of high school graduates and their families will have the opportunity to experience Virginia Commonwealth University. Given the large volume of traffic expected, VCU Police will implement a regional traffic plan to mitigate traffic impacts and promote guest and pedestrian safety.

As in previous years, VCU Police and VCU Parking and Transportation will relocate all West Broad St. Deck subscribers for this year’s graduation period. This has helped us better facilitate the safety of guests and subscribers, reduce area congestion and improve operational efficiency as thousands of graduates and their visiting families enter and exit our parking facilities.

A shuttle service will be provided to minimize inconveniences for those impacted by relocation. Shuttles will travel to and from on-campus locations from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.

Important impacts to know:

  • West Broad St. Deck subscribers will be required to relocate to West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck, or Henry Street Deck-East/West, from May 23-25, June 10, and June 14-16.
  • Bowe Street Deck subscribers have the option to relocate, if preferred.
  • Reciprocal parking will not be permitted on West Broad Street Deck.
  • Shuttles will run continuously to and from the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck, and on-campus locations from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

If you require additional parking accommodations due to a mobility need, please contact VCU Parking and Transportation directly at parking@vcu.edu.
