News & information

The Department of General Services is beginning work on a pedestrian tunnel under 9th Street, and the work will impact travel on a section of the street through the end of June. On Tuesday, May 28, all lanes of 9th Street between Grace and Broad Streets will close to traffic. As a result of this street closure, the Sanger Hall and 8th & Franklin St. stops on the Connector Express route will be impacted.

Effective May 28, the Connector Express will relocate its temporary Sanger Hall stop (currently located at CHoR) to McGuire Hall. Additionally, the 8th and Franklin St. stop will be relocated to 8th and Main Streets. Please note, buses will use the 8th and Main St. stop to service passengers traveling in both directions (towards Sanger Hall and Cabell Library).  Passengers should pay close attention to identify the direction the bus is traveling on the route prior to boarding.

The temporary stops are expected to remain in place from May 28 through June 28. Signage will be posted in the impacted areas reflecting the change.
