Dec. 10 Parking/Transportation Impacts

Due to the recent inclement weather, parking and transportation operations will be impacted on Monday, Dec. 10. 

Parking Impacts:

  • A Lot, I Lot, M Lot and R Lot will be closed on Monday, Dec. 10, as there will be no RamRide service to these facilities.
    • A Lot and I Lot subscribers should park in Eighth Street Deck on Monday, Dec. 10. 
    • M Lot, R Lot, Coliseum Deck, W Deck and K Deck subscribers should park in N Deck on Monday, Dec. 10.

Transportation Impacts:

  • RamRide (including the Campus Connector as well as shuttles to the remote lots) will not be in service on Monday, Dec. 10.
  • RamSafe has suspended operations for tonight. RamSafe will resume service on Monday, Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. In the event inclement weather prevents safe operation, this service will be adjusted as needed.
  • GRTC suspended service at 7 p.m. GRTC will operate on a delayed start on Monday, Dec. 10  with limited service resuming after 7 a.m. on snow routes. Passengers should prepare for significant service delays and potential detours in addition to planned snow routes. 
    • GRTC Pulse stations are being cleared of snow, but significant delays are expected to continue Monday, and some median stations may be served on the curbside. 
    • Monday morning express service will be limited, operating at least one trip on each express route after 7 a.m.

Updates to service:

  • Updates to VCU parking and transit operations will be posted on the Parking and Transportation ‘News and Alerts’ web page as well as on Facebook and Twitter.  In addition, subscribers may opt in to receive emergency parking related alerts via text message by enrolling at go.vcu.edu/parkingalerts.   
  • VCU Parking and Transportation customer service offices will open at 12 p.m. on Dec. 10. In the event you are a subscriber in need of emergency parking assistance during this time, please contact the enforcement supervisor on duty at 804-971-0450.
