August P&T Updates
August 22 – Additional “Compact Car Only” Spaces to be Installed in WCSD
To assist drivers with a safer ingress and egress while in the West Cary Street Deck, on Friday, August 25, crews will transition the first six parking spaces along the Cary Street side of the facility to “Compact Car Only” spaces. Signage will be installed to reflect this change.
In the event you are parking a larger vehicle, we ask that you utilize alternate spaces within the deck.
August 21 – Cabell Library Bus Stop Closures 8/24-27
Due to multiple events impacting nearby traffic and street accessibility this week, the Cabell Library bus stop will be closed beginning at 12 pm on Thursday, August 24 through Sunday, August 27. There will be no Express service on August 24 or August 25. The Cabell bus stop is expected to reopen at 6:30 am on Monday, August 28; however, should accessibility improve, service may be provided sooner. Connector passengers should proceed to the Laurel and Main Street stop for service.
August 21 – New MCV Campus Customer Service Hours
We are pleased to announce that we are extending the MCV Campus customer service office hours to better meet the needs of our subscribers. Beginning on Monday, August 28, the MCV Campus office, located at 659 N. Eighth Street, will be open from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Our call center will continue to provide service from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.*
We hope these new changes will provide you with additional flexibility as you handle your on campus parking needs.
August 21 – RTD Deck Closed for Cleaning Aug. 26-27
On Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27, from 7 am to 4 pm, the RTD Deck will be closed for cleaning.
We ask that you remove your vehicle from the facility during these times.
August 17 – Update: UU Lot Closed August 14-21
Due to an HVAC delay, the sealcoating and re-striping project in the UU Lot has been extended by one day. We ask that you continue to park in the Bowe Street Deck through Monday, August 21.
You may resume parking in the UU Lot on Tuesday, August 22.
August 16 – Campus Connector Fall Schedule
On Thursday, August 17, the Campus Connector will begin operating on its Fall semester schedule, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 12 am, and Saturday and Sunday, from 8 am to 12 am.
August 11 – UU Lot Closed August 14-18
The UU Lot will be closed from Monday, August 14 through Friday, August 18 for an upcoming sealcoating and re-striping project. We ask that you please utilize the Bowe Street Deck for parking during this time.
You may resume parking in the UU Lot beginning on Saturday, August 19.
August 9 – D Deck Elevator Temporarily Out of Service
ease be advised that Elevator #2 on the D Deck is temporarily out of service. Our contractor is working to repair. We will notify you when this elevator is restored. In the meantime, please utilize Elevator #1 for service.
