How to Apply Workshop Series: May 2022
Do you want to apply for a national scholarship, but not sure where to start? Attend the NSO’s How to Apply Workshop Series!
The NSO is offering a FREE workshop series that will prepare participants to tackle major applications for postgraduate scholarships, including the Fulbright U.S. Student program, the Rhodes Scholarship, Marshall Scholarship, Mitchell Scholarship, Gates Cambridge Scholarship, Samvid Scholarship, Paul and Daisy Soros Scholarship, Schwarzman Scholars Program, Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program, and more!
Led by the NSO staff, participants will explore themes and ideas central to all applications, as well as learn how to approach major application components, such as essays, letters of recommendation, and resumes. The series will meet for two hours, with five sessions (see schedule below). Each session will be interactive, and participants will be expected to take an active role in discussion and writing exercises, as well as to come prepared with any assigned homework completed. The success of this series will very much depend on your attendance and active participation!
The workshop will be meeting the following days:
- Monday, May 16
- Wednesday, May 18
- Friday, May 20
- Monday, May 23
- Wednesday, May 25
The workshop will run from 12-2 PM on each date, and will only run if we have at least 10 people registered.
Please note: Our expectation is that you will commit to attending all five sessions. We understand that sometimes things come up and you may need to miss, but please register with the intention of being present for the full series.
